  Methodology

With a clear focus on our customer’s key priorities, we have established a working methodology that allows us to define each stage of the project, both in complexity and duration, and thus perform the necessary actions to comply in a timely manner with our customers’ objectives.

We have identified the following stages: Analysis, Development and Implementation.

The Analysis phase aims to gather the project requirements, scope and resources with regards to developing and defining a successful project. This phase is broken down into 3 sub-phases:

  1. Pre-Analysis: It serves to delimit the project’s scope and make a realistic work plan. We start by analyzing the periods of time, activities and areas on which the customer wants to perform. This helps to be clear on what our customer is looking throughout the whole process and the number of people that will be involved in this initial phase of the project.

  2. Conceptual Analysis: It helps to identify the specific information requirements needed by those who are responsible for making key business decisions. At this stage we work with a total business approach in order to understand the use and importance of the information being generated by the company and the type of metrics needed to perform the business processes. This is where metrics and dimensions are defined, as well as the semantics used to refer to each one.

  3. Technical Analysis: At this stage the technical staff performs a validation of requirements, ensuring that these are feasible to obtain. We define which operational systems will be involved and perform a structural design of the optimal database as well as the proper data mining process and the frequency, moreover it is necessary to define the level of security required for each user profile.

The Development phase refers to the creation of the data structures, information extraction, cube and scenario creation, and data validation.

During this phase, we work on generating the necessary structure for the automated completion of real data, the definition and development of the KPIs and the given of the multidimensional approach for them to be exploited. Finally, we perform the validation of customer data, based on the information being handled to confirm that it is reliable information and should be recognized as trustworthy at the time of the presentation.

Finally the Implementation phase is in which information structures are generated directly on the final server, ensuring the proper operation of all elements for the update of the information. Similarly, before the global launch of the system, we establish a pilot implementation plan with a selected group of users where we transfer all the processes to the customer's staff so they can operate it directly and continuously address their internal customer requirements.
